Ingredients:
For the Tandoori Fish:
- 500g white fish fillets
- 3 tbsp plain yogurt
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp tandoori masala
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- ½ tsp turmeric powder
- ½ tsp chili powder (adjust to taste)
- ½ tsp garam masala
- Salt to taste
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
For the Wraps:
- 4 large whole wheat tortillas or wraps
- 1 cup shredded lettuce or mixed greens
- 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
- 1 cucumber, julienned
- 1 tomato, thinly sliced
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
For the Yogurt Sauce:
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh mint or coriander
- ½ tsp cumin powder
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Marinate the Fish:

- In a large bowl, combine the yogurt, lemon juice, tandoori masala, ginger-garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, chili powder, garam masala, and salt.
- Add the fish fillets and coat them well with the marinade.
- Cover the bowl and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, preferably 1-2 hours.
2. Cook the Fish:
- Heat the vegetable oil in a non-stick pan or skillet over medium heat.
- Add the marinated fish fillets and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the fish is cooked through and has a nice char. The cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the fillets.
- Once cooked, remove the fish from the pan and let it rest for a few minutes before flaking it into bite-sized pieces.
3. Prepare the Yogurt Sauce:
- In a small bowl, mix together the yogurt, lemon juice, chopped mint or coriander, cumin powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Stir well to combine and set aside.
4. Assemble the Wraps:
- Warm the tortillas or wraps in a dry skillet or microwave for a few seconds to make them pliable.
- Spread a generous amount of the yogurt sauce onto each tortilla.
- Place a handful of shredded lettuce or mixed greens in the center of the tortilla.
- Add a few slices of red onion, cucumber, and tomato on top of the greens.
- Place the flaked tandoori fish on top of the vegetables.
- Drizzle a little more yogurt sauce over the fish and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
5. Wrap and Serve:
- Fold the sides of the tortilla over the filling, then roll it up tightly from the bottom to form a wrap.
- Slice the wrap in half if desired and serve immediately.
